Watched "Little Black Gown" today - I was surprised how little empathy I felt for the girls and it was most likely as a consequence of a weak script and poor vision by the director.
The movie appears like a halfhearted knock-off of "Take Care of My Cat" (one among my favourite films ever), but with the locale transported from the poorer areas of Incheon to the upscale areas of Seoul.
The film begins like it its going to be a contemporary take on young women (think "Intercourse in the Metropolis" or one thing comparable), however like someone with extreme A.D.D., the film jumps from several types of issues to various kinds of problems, all the whereas falling into typical drama fare (being pregnant, money issues, is he cheating on me?.. and many others and so forth) with none sense of sizzle or freshness to the story.
By the point the film ended I thought to myself "why was the movie even named 'Little Black Costume' or 'My Black Minidress'" - then through the end credit, a brief clip explains how the film acquired the title.
Carrying her hair down and with little or no equipment - just a pair of tiny silver earrings matching the sequins of her gown and a easy, virtually invisible black bracelet - she let her little black gown make the assertion.
First, the gown is in poor health-becoming - there may be too much extra materials across the hips which is making her look bigger than she is. Also, the neckline is simply too excessive.
